Hammers greats are reunited

West Ham fans troubled by play-off anxiety will be able to recall happier days when the club's most successful team meet for a reunion banquet in London on 20 May - almost 40 years to the day since beating TSV Munich in the European Cup Winners' Cup Final.

Team-mates from 1965, and from the FA Cup-winning team of the previous year, will be joined by Stephanie Moore and Barbara Sealey, representing their late husbands Bobby and Alan. It was Alan Sealey who secured West Ham's only European title with both goals in a classic final at Wembley in 1965.

Johnny Sissons is flying in from Cape Town for the dinner, Jim Standen is coming from California and Joe Kirkup from France. World Cup winner Martin Peters will be the guest speaker.
