Gianfranco Zola's ready to get tough

West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola insists that he will not shirk the difficult decisions over personnel this summer.

Zola watched the Hammers' European dream die at Goodison Park on Saturday as Everton came from behind to win 3-1.

A 30-yard rocket from Radoslav Kovac gave Zola's men the lead but it then all went wrong.

On 38 minutes, Louis Saha scored a penalty after James Tomkins was dismissed for tripping Tim Cahill. Joseph Yobo gave Everton the lead straight after the break before Saha grabbed a late second.

Zola says he is now ready and willing to chop and change his squad this summer and is not bothered if he upsets his players in the process.

He said: "There are difficult decisions to be made but I have to take the decisions. And I will do that with the interest of the club to take us forward. When the moment comes I will make them."
