I know the Inter Milan striker might be worth a few quid more than me in the transfer market, but I think I could have scored that one.
Never mind, if you followed my Vieri tip and you want to get a few quid back I reckon Spain to beat South Korea in normal time at 5-6 or evens is one of the best bets of the tournament so far.
The Republic of Ireland gave Spain a hard time in the last round and Jose Antonio Camacho made a couple of bad substitutions taking Raul and Fernando Morientes off.
They let Damien Duff run at them and Mick McCarthy's team went about the game in a good way, but I still think Spain have too much savvy for the Koreans.
The Italians might have blown it against the co-hosts but they showed up several weaknesses. South Korea look a bit dodgy at set-pieces and home advantage can only take you so far in the World Cup.
I think the Spanish have shown they have got a little bit more about them and with an extra day's rest after the second round I think they will do the business.
As for the other quarter-final tomorrow, Senegal against Turkey, it is a bit too hard to call.
I don't fancy either team much but if you had to bet on them, 15-8 for the draw at normal time could be okay.
Turkey are still 20-1 to win the World Cup and Senegal are 14-1, which I think are pretty mean odds because I feel they have got no chance.
Odds of 7-2 for Spain to lift the trophy are not much more generous and if you want to bet on the overall winners I would look at the teams who got through today.
Maybe a slightly different sort of bet worth looking at is the number of goals you are going to get in a game. For both the Spain-South Korea and Senegal-Turkey games you can get 12-5 on two goals and 7-2 on three goals and that seems about right.
Neither are the safest of bets but they are not bad value. Good luck.
