The colt showed promise when third to the well-regarded Taawab on his second start at Leicester last week.
Baker, 43, said: "He's run to a level that merits running him there and we will also run Chicita Banana in the Group 3 Albany Stakes (19 June).
"They are both owned by Harry [Findlay], who has been a tremendous supporter."
Though operating at the lower end of the chain, Baker has 44 winners to his name. Not to mention a few big gambles landed.
Former trainer David Loder and top bloodstock agent Angie Sykes - who bought Derby winner Sir Percy - have been instrumental in talent spotting.
"David has been a massive help," said Baker. "He taught me early on that only thing that will get us noticed is winners, which is why we've often targeted sellers and claimers."
Sykes has also come up trumps. She paid just 16,000 guineas for stable star Excellerator, who is poised for a high-class summer campaign.
Baker said: "If she wins a couple of races, she might go to the Dubai Carnival at Meydan in the winter."
It's a racing certainty that Mr Versatile will be making a few more headlines before that.
