Will Hoskins proves a class act

Watford boss Malky Mackay's gamble on picking Will Hoskins paid off when he hit the winner in the 2-1 victory over Ipswich at Vicarage Road.

Hoskins was the only change from the side that lost at Peterborough — their fourth defeat in a row — and he struck with a low drive.

Henri Lansbury, on loan from Arsenal, scored the opener, which was Watford's first goal in over four and a half hours.

After the Hornet's struggles, Mackay can take any flak. He said: "The crowd have been great and thoroughly deserve to voice their opinion."
