Waiting Grant Basey stays positive

Grant Basey was finding out today how long it will take to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in a horrific challenge by Bristol Rovers' Dominic Blizzard.

The defender was scythed down after only 12 seconds of Charlton's match last week and was lucky not to break his leg.

The 21-year-old was seeing a specialist today to discover the full extent of the damage. He said: "I've come to terms with it now and I'm trying to be as positive as I can."

Goalkeeper Rob Elliot and defender Frazer Richardson are both doubts for tonight's match with Brighton after picking up groin injuries.
