Vincent Janssen deserves to be given more time to adjust to life at Tottenham, according to the striker's international teammate Bas Dost.
Janssen joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar earlier this summer but has failed to hit the ground running for Mauricio Pochettino's side, despite scoring 27 Eredivisie goals last term.
Janssen's slow start has been criticised in some quarters but fellow Dutchman Dost is adamant his countryman will come good for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

“All that c*** about Vincent, give that boy some time," he told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
“He’s a good scorer and is a great player for the Dutch national team.
“But I also know that if you do not score, you are under pressure, that’s part of this job,” Dost added, having being placed under similar pressure after joining Sporting Lisbon from Wolfsburg earlier this summer.
With Harry Kane set to be sidelined for another month Janssen is expected to have plenty more opportunities to prove his worth as Spurs battle for silverware on three fronts over the next few weeks.
Janssen is adamant he does not require a "mental coach" to overcome his lacklustre start to life at White Hart Lane but the forward has hinted could use one in the future.
