The hosts went in front after just 12 minutes through Nacer Chadli, and were 2-0 after half an hour when Dier nodded in Erik Lamela’s corner.
It was Dier's second goal in as many games since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in the summer, having scored Tottenham's stoppage time winner against West Ham last weekend.
Chadli then scored his second just before the interval, and Adebayor coolly slotted home in the second half, as a rampant Spurs outclassed a disappointing QPR.
