Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Tottenham's 4-3 victory over Leicester City at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham still have a chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League after they stumbled to a 4-3 victory against Leicester City with Harry Kane stealing the show yet again with a hat-trick.

Mauricio Pochettino was forced to make a substitution in the early stages. Michel Vorm replaced Hugo Lloris with only three minutes played after the France international was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury.

The 35,950 fans inside White Hart Lane would only need to wait two minutes later before Spurs took the lead after Kane scored with a left-footed effort from close range.

Kane made it 2-0 after 12 minutes after his shot deflected off Robeth Hutch and past Kasper Schmeichel following Andros Townsend’s corner.

Kane thought he had scored his hat-trick minutes later when he finished coolly past Schmeichel but Mike Dean adjudged the striker to be offside.

MATCH REPORT: TOTTENHAM 4 LEICESTER CITY 3

Jamie Vardy gave Nigel Pearson and the travelling Leicester City fans hope when he calmly placed David Nugent’s cross past Michel Vorm.

Spurs started the second half very slowly and Pearson’s side equalised on 50 minutes when Wes Morgan headed Matty James’ cross to the right of Vorm.

Kane restored Spurs’ lead and capped his second hat-trick of the season when he scored from the penalty spot following Nugent’s foul on Danny Rose.

It was 4-2 with just minutes remaining when Christian Eriksen's effort, initially saved by Schmeichel, rebounded off Jeff Schlupp and into his own goal.

Leicester threatened to stage a late comeback when Nugent scored following a mistake by Jan Vertonghen.
