Sutton's 'Roly Poly Goalie' Wayne Shaw eats a pie during Arsenal FA Cup clash

Sutton United's self-styled 'Roly Poly Goalie' Wayne Shaw looked like he knew the writing was on the wall as he tucked into a pie towards the end of Monday night's FA Cup clash against Arsenal.

The 46-year-old, 20-stone substitute goalkeeper and keeping coach performs all manner of tasks for the non-league club, and was seen hoovering up the dugouts before the match.

It was perhaps doubtful that Shaw would have played any meaningful part in the match unless first-choice goalkeeper Ross Worner picked up an injury or was sent off.

Still, the veteran took a chance and decided to get started on his pre-match warm down with a pie as Arsenal led 2-0 with 10 minutes remaining - an event that was priced at 8/1 by various bookmakers before the match.

The shot stopper, who has become a social media sensation since the fifth-round draw, played in the same youth team as England legend Alan Shearer and was once on Reading's books as an outfield player.
