Rodgers: I don't think QPR will be deducted points

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers today urged the Football Association to resolve Queens Park Rangers' controversial transfer of Alejandro Faurlin before the end of the season.

QPR face a possible points deduction after being charged on Wednesday for breaching regulations relating to third-party ownership and agents.

But Rodgers, whose side are seven points behind Rangers in second place, believes the Championship leaders will escape a deduction as West Ham did after the Carlos Tevez affair of 2007.

He said: "I'll be surprised if they are docked points because you look at the Tevez situation and West Ham were not deducted any points. It will be very interesting to find out what the consequences might be."
