Queens Park Rangers execute stealth attack on leaders

Queens Park Rangers manager Jim Magilton is glad that his side's progress into the play-off places has gone largely unnoticed outside Loftus Road.

Rangers moved into sixth position in the Championship after coming from 2-0 down at Pride Park to beat Derby 4-2.

It was the third game in a row that Rangers have scored four goals and victory at home to Leicester on Friday will take them up to second in the table.

Magilton said: "I'm delighted with the direction we're heading in. Our progression has been steady. We've skipped under the radar, which is fabulous, but we're a very grounded group and we won't be letting a result like this get us too carried away."

Darren Ambrose scored his seventh goal of the season to earn Crystal Palace a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest but the match was overshadowed by Neil Warnock's clash with opposite number Billy Davies.

The two were at loggerheads when Clint Hill collided with Derby winger Paul Anderson and could face disciplinary action from the Football League.
