Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Tottenham's clash with Sunderland at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham left it late again to seal victory in the Premier League with Christian Erkisen stepping up to do, as he has so often this season, secure maximum points for Mauricio Pochettino's side at the death.

And it was Tottenham's other former Ajax star who would give them an early when a deflection sent Jan Vertonghen's strike past Costel Pantilimon.

Seb Larsson equalised with a textbook free-kick, and Jermain Defoe - making his Sunderland debut against his former club - could have had a penalty also, as Spurs wasted possession and opportunities to regain the lead.

But they would, albeit in the 88th minute, find the winner as Erkisen sent the home fans into raptures.
