Palace fans spell out concerns to owners

A group of concerned Crystal Palace supporters have written to the owners of Selhurst Park calling for the rent to be re-negotiated so that a take-over can happen.

The Crystal Palace Ambassadors — who have long-term season tickets — fear the annual £1.2million rent is putting off potential investors and have written to administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers, which took over the ground in the wake of Rock Investment's collapse.

Philip Solomon, a spokesman for The Ambassadors, said: "The rent is an immense figure for a club who only have an average gate of 14,500."

Simon Jordan's club are in administration with debts of £30m.
