Bundesleaver: Schurrle completes move to Wolfsburg

Andre Schurrle has completed his move to Wolfsburg from Chelsea, the Bundesliga side have confirmed.

The World Cup winner has been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, with Jose Mourinho having been keen to move the Germany international on to free-up space for the signing of Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado.

Chelsea will make a profit in the region of £9.75m for Schurrle, who arrived from Bayer Leverkusen for £18m back in 2013.

Wolfsburg originally had a £23.5m offer rejected and will now pay around £24m up front, with another £3.75m in performance related add-ons.

Schurrle signs a four-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit, worth in the region of £86,000-a-week.

In a short statement released on Chelsea's website, the club thanked Schurrle for his time at Stamford Bridge.

"Having started this season with a goal at Burnley, Schurrle struggled with form and fitness with the creative talents of Oscar, Eden Hazard and Willian preferred.

"We thank Andre for his efforts and wish him the very best of luck for the future."
