Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Argentina’s 4-2 penalty shoot-out win over the Netherlands in the World Cup semi-final, following a drab 0-0 draw after extra time.

Argentina substitute Rodrigo Palacio came closest to scoring in extra time but the forward headed straight at Jasper Cillessen.

The South Americans scored all four of their penalties in the shoot-out, and goalkeeper Sergio Romero saved from Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder to send Argentina through to Sunday's final in Rio against Germany.
