Nabil Bentaleb set to return to Tottenham squad for West Ham visit

Nabil Bentaleb is poised to return to the Tottenham squad for the first time in nearly three months for Sunday’s derby against West Ham.

The midfielder has been sidelined since the end of August due to ankle ligament damage but returned to competitive action with Algeria over the weekend.

Bentaleb played the entire second half of his country’s 2-2 draw in Tanzania in their two-leg World Cup qualifier. If he makes it through the home leg unscathed, Bentaleb will surely be part of head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the match at White Hart Lane.

Pochettino said before the international break that Bentaleb was still searching for match fitness but with Algeria targeting Russia

2018, the 20-year-old midfielder was brought back into the squad by coach Christian Gourcuff.
