Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Chelsea's surprise 1-1 draw with Maribor.

Chelsea required a 73rd goal from midfielder Nemanja Matic to salvage a point against Maribor, having known that a win in Slovenia would have seen them secure their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Having been held in the first half, Jose Mourinho rang the changes at half-time with the introduction of Oscar and Diego Costa, but the Blues would fall behind only five minutes later.

Match Report: Maribor 1 Chelsea 1

Having scored an own goal at Stamford Bridge a fortnight before, Agim Ibraimi unleashed a delightful curled effort past Petr Cech, before Matic levelled just over ten minutes later.

Chelsea had the chance to win the match when Oscar was fouled inside the box with less than five minutes remaining, but Eden Hazard was denied from the penalty spot by veteran goalkeeper Jasmin Handanovic.
