Standard Sport assesses the individual Manchester United performances from their 3-0 victory over Olympiakos at Old Trafford.

United entered the tie with a mountain to climb after falling to a 2-0 defeat in Greece last month, but Ryan Giggs' arrowed pass found Robin van Persie who was sent tumbling inside the area after 25 minutes.

Van Persie dispatched the resaultant spot-kick to lift the Old Trafford faithful and the Dutchman levelled the tie on aggregate in first-half stoppage time, converting a low Wayne Rooney cross.

And the former Arsenal man completed the turnaround with a training ground free-kick that left Olympiakos goalkeeper Roberto rooted.
