FIFA's record ban handed down to Luis Saurez will see the Liverpool striker miss a total of 13 games for the Anfield club, including over half of their UEFA Champions League group stage matches.
The Liverpool striker was banned for a record nine games - and banned for four months - after FIFA find him guilty of biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.
It's the third time the 27 year-old has been sanctioned for biting an opponent, and Suarez has also been fined 100,000 Swiss francs (£66,000), confirmed FIFA.
In 2011 Suarez was banned for seven games for biting PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bakkal while playing for Ajax and last year he received a 10 game suspension by the FA for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.
He will miss a total of 13 games for Liverpool, including four Champions League group stage matches.
