Kyle Walker will not be punished by FA for taking 'hippy crack'

England right back Kyle Walker will not face any disciplinary action from the FA after being pictured inhaling the legal high Nitrous Oxide.

A statement from the FA read: “The FA and the England manager have spoken to Kyle about the matter and he has assured us it will not happen again.”

“Kyle has accepted this mistake. He will not face any action under the England Player Code of Conduct.”

The defender had earlier apologised after a photograph emerged of him inhaling the legal but potentially lethal Nitrous Oxide - known as 'hippy crack'.

Walker, 23, posted an apology on his twitter account after a newspaper published the photo of him breathing in the drug from a balloon during a night out in Sheffield in June.

Walker tweeted: "Apologies for not commenting sooner on a story about me today. I've been training and am focused on Tuesday's game for England. Now I know the health risks, it was poor judgement on my part.I won't be doing this again and hope that no one else is influenced into putting their health at risk by my actions."
