Joey Barton brands Ryan Giggs a 'wrong'un' in latest Twitter rant

Controversial QPR midfielder Joey Barton is in the headlines again for calling Ryan Giggs ‘a wrong’un’ in relation to the Manchester United winger’s alleged affair with his brother’s wife.

The provocative footballer used social media to blast Giggs, who turned 40 yesterday.

Writing on his Twitter account, Barton said: “Giggs has done unbelievable to get to 40. Still a vital player for United. Some career he's had. The British Paolo Maldini.

“Still can't have him for getting up his brothers bird though. Great player but can't be doing that. No matter how much of a top player he is.

“Respect him as a player. But as a man, you don't do that to your own. He's a wrong’un in my book.

Barton's remarks refer to reports that in 2011 Giggs had been conducting an affair with his brother's wife Natasha Giggs.

Talking to The Sun at the time, she stated she was a 'fool' to put her marriage to Rhodri in jeopardy for the 'thrilling' relationship.

The 29-year-old said her relationship with Giggs was 'seedy' adding: "At the beginning it was thrilling to know that someone as famous and admired as Ryan wanted to be in bed with me.
