Fulham striker Bryan Ruiz wants PSV Eindhoven stay

Costa Rica striker Bryan Ruiz has signalled his desire to stay with PSV Eindhoven next season, but admits his future will be decided when he returns to parent club Fulham at the end of his loan this summer.

Ruiz has enjoyed a successful loan spell back in Holland having initially joined the Cottagers from FC Twente for a club-record £10.6million in September 2011.

He struggled to make an impact in west London, scoring just eight goals in 68 appearances, but the 28-year-old's career has been revived since returning to the Eredivisie in January, finding the net four times in 12 appearances.

The national captain will line up against England at this year's World Cup finals in Brazil, but is well aware any permanent move to the Dutch outfit is out of his hands.

"I am really happy here at PSV," Ruiz told Fox Sports Eredivisie. "They have a new project for next season to become champions with a strong squad. I would like to be part of that.

"We have to see what happens. There are still games left, possibly play-offs, and after that the World Cup.

"What will happen depends on several things. I still have one year on my contract at Fulham."

In Ruiz's absence, The Cottagers currently sit in 18th place in the Premier League, five points adrift of safety under new coach Felix Magath.
