Chelsea winger Pedro has undergone surgery after injuring his shoulder in Saturday’s FA Cup Final.

The Blues lost the final to Arsenal 2-1 at Wembley and were struck down with a number of injuries during the match.

One of those was to Pedro who, after coming on as a second-half substitute, landed awkwardly on his shoulder when competing for the ball with Arsenal defender Sokratis.

The 33-year-old, who is due to join Roma for free this month, was carried off on a stretcher and he has now undergone surgery.

“The surgery went well, I will be back soon,” Pedro wrote on Instagram. “It was a pity not to win the FA Cup. Thank you all for your support.”

The surgery means Pedro will miss the second-leg of Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 against Bayern Munich on Saturday and has played his last game for the club.
