Charlton shock Spurs to reach FA Youth Cup quarter-finals

Charlton shocked favourites Spurs to reach the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals at The Valley last night when half-time substitute Oliver Muldoon hit a last minute free-kick into the top corner of the net for a 1-0 triumph to earn a glamour trip to Old Trafford against Manchester United.

To do so they had to curb the danger of Spurs' £1million Ivory Coast striker Coulibaly who won the golden boot at last year's Under 17 World Cup. He was snapped up from Italian club Sienna.

However, stocky powerhouse Coulibaly could have won it for Tottenham on 72 minutes only to sky his shot from close range. It then looked certain to go to extra-time until Muldoon's dramatic winner. Charlton join Chelsea and Fulham in the last eight.
