Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Belgium's breathtaking 2-1 victory over USA in Salvador.

The game finished 0-0 after 90 minutes, but Belgium were ahead in extra time almost instantly when substitute Romelu Lukaku set up Kevin de Bruyne to fire home.

De Bruyne then turned provider, rolling the ball through to Lukaku for the Chelsea man to double the Belgians’ lead in the 115th minute.

USA Substitute Julian Green scored immediately after extra time half-time to set up a pulsating finish, but the US couldn’t quite find the equaliser.

Belgium march on to face Argentina in Saturday’s quarter-final.
