All those employers worried about cheesed off workers wanting 'duvet days' at home - skiving off work - can take heart from what's going on at Charlton.

There was certainly a residue of goodwill to chief executive Adam Crozier when staff at the Football Association returned to work after the festive break.
All the FA workers got a £1,000 end-of-year Christmas bonus from Crozier.
This was after a very jolly Moroccan theme party at The Natural History Museum followed by a mince pies and drinks afternoon.
Talking of Christmas parties, perhaps the Arsenal and Bayern Munich players could compare notes when they resume Champions League battle next month.
Arsenal's party at a central London hotel was very demure and entertaining - especially Dennis Bergkamp's attempt at disco dancing.
Munich's Christmas do - a traditional goose dinner - was a little less good-natured.
Club captain Steffen Effenberg, dressed in red leather trousers and cowboy boots, made disparaging remarks about the club's planned new stadium and then slated the choice of music at the party, saying: "I enjoyed the music so much that I have slept for an hour."
Manager Uli Hoeness coolly noted: "Luckily, we have Stefan as a player rather than as a speaker."

Any Jocks watching the BBC news from 10-10.25 last Tuesday would have seen all the results of the Scottish Premiership plus footage of Rangers' victory over St Mirren. The BBC news did not even mention Tottenham's result against Newcastle - nor did the South-East regional news that followed from 10.25-10.35. What a rotten service.

Pony tail watch. David Seaman is obviously still a bit touchy about his hairdo. In February's Match of the Day magazine he complains about people who say his hair is too long, adding a jibe about a certain tubby Radio 5 Live commentator: "I've seen a picture of Alan Green recently and he wants to shut up and look in the mirror."
Somehow, one imagines, Green does that fairly often.

On 22 December, Daniel Levy gave my Standard Sport colleague David Bond the first interview following his takeover of Tottenham. A day later, Harry Harris boasted about getting "the first interview since taking ownership" with Levy in the Daily Mirror.

Frank Leboeuf is finally poised to join Monaco, but reports of him heading back home to France have been doing the rounds ever since it was learned he had bought property in France.
Actually, he has purchased two studio flats near Lyon that are not big enough to be family homes.
Leboeuf says they are only an investment. In any case, when he wants to leave Chelsea he is well capable of organising matters himself.
The hairless one from St Cyr sur Mer has an accountancy background - "I left school at 15, but carried on studying accounts by correspondence course" - and is no stranger to self-advertisement.
As a young player he fell out with Second Division Club Hyeres because they made players drink Pernod before games. He then put an advert in Magazine France, offering himself to any football club "looking for someone who can play No 8, 9 or 10".
If he does decide to try that trick again, is it too much to hope he would advertise through the columns of Notebook?
