Precise details of which races are involved in the investigation remain unclear although the Jockey Club is known to have passed on a dossier on Miles Rodgers to the police, whose further inquiries led to this morning's swoop, but Jockey Club PR director John Maxse was unwilling to shed further light on the matter.
"We were aware that an investigation was ongoing after passing on the information about Mr Rodgers, but we were not informed that raids would be taking place this morning," he said.
"Our head of security Paul Scotney has been in regular contact with the police, but beyond that I would rather not say too much at this stage."
