Everitt and Co in line for a kicking duel

Barry Everitt and Paul Burke face top level kicking duels after taking London Irish and Harlequins into the semi-finals of the Powergen Cup with faultless performances.

England's record points scorer Jonny Wilkinson of Newcastle and Northampton's specialist Paul Grayson complete the quartet of the top kicking fly-halves ahead of tomorrow's draw for the semi-finals which will be played back-to-back at the Madejski Stadium on 9 March.

Everitt scored 20 points in the 25-10 victory by the Irish over Gloucester and fellow Irishman Burke scored 17 points as Quins beat treble champions Leicester 22-20. Burke said: " The win against Leicester was a fantastic day for the players and the club but it means nothing if we do not win our next match."

Wilkinson scored 21 points in Newcastle's 41-24 win over Leeds and Grayson landed 12 points in Northampton's 30-28 victory over Saracens.

The Irish will benefit the greatest from the Madejski Stadium venue for the semifinals because it is their home ground.

"Home in any situation is a massive advantage to us," said London Irish director Conor O'Shea. "Hopefully it will be a real carnival day with four sets of supporters backing four very evenly matched sides.
