Etherington blow for Hammers

Matthew Etherington is again likely to be absent for West Ham's trip to Stoke next weekend.

Etherington's groin injury forced him to miss the 2-0 win over Coventry but Michael Carrick, who was also out injured, could return to partner Steve Lomas in midfield.

Goals from Bobby Zamora and David Connolly secured the points on Saturday and manager Alan Pardew said: "We were a bit disjointed at times but it was job done."
