Epsom still at the races

Epsom College just about managed to shake the rust off their game andemerge with a 7-7 draw against Twickenham outsiders Orleans Park to gothrough to the quarter-finals on the away ruling.

The Surrey school, who had not played together since December since theyare now in their hockey term, scored in the first half thanks to some quickhands in the backs which sent wing Simon Marjoram over in the corner. CentreJamie Laidler kicked the touchline conversion.

The home side came back strongly after half time and levelled the scores inidentical fashion, fly half Jack Tierney converting a Luke Williams touchdown in the corner.

Espom survived some late pressure to earn a quarter-final tie at Millfield.

'It's a tough call,' said coach Andrew Wolstenholme. 'We need to get matchfit for that one.'
