Former captain's worries: Andy Flower, who five years ago wore a black armband to mourn the death of democracy in Zimbabwe, now envisages the death of his country's cricket
England's batting coach, said: "The people in charge of cricket there are Mugabe supporters. It's going to take a long time to turn things around as domestic cricket is in a poor state.
"It's so sad. So many people gave up so much time and energy to get us into international cricket. It is now pretty much ruined."
The former Zimbabwe captain added: "I'm no politician but I do know that (ZCB chairman) Peter Chingoka is part of Mugabe's despicable clan. The fact he's allowed to sit on ICC committees is very embarrassing.
"Things are spiralling out of control so quickly. I hope someone does something to arrest that.
"If suspending Zimbabwe from the ICC is the first step, then that's good."
