Duc De Regniere is worth a look at Kempton

Jump racing returns tomorrow after Kempton's meeting was given the green light following an inspection this morning. There has been no jump racing on turf since 3 January due to the cold snap, but the Sunbury venue will get the show back on the road after a massive improvement in conditions at the track.

The Lanzarote Hurdle is the cornerstone of Channel 4's coverage and with Nicky Henderson managing to get plenty of work into his horses over the cold spell, top weight Duc De Regniere (2.45pm) looks primed to make the frame in this 2m5f handicap. The eight-year-old was fifth to Big Buck's in last season's Grade 1 World Hurdle at Cheltenham and was again beaten by Paul Nicholls' stable star at Newbury in the Grade 2 Long Distance Hurdle in November. While Barry Geraghty rides stablemate and last-time-out Sandown scorer Tasheba, on the plus side the capable David Bass takes 7lb off his 11st 12lb.

It is hoped that a breathing operation will have done the trick for Mad Max (12.45pm, nap), on his debut over fences in the 2m Novices' Chase.

Henderson's eight-year-old was unbeaten in two starts in National Hunt Flat events and then won his first couple of outings over timber.

Approved Force (2.05pm) may be good enough to go one better than he did at Huntingdon on Boxing Day when he takes on seven rivals in the 3m novices' handicap chase.

Fistral Beach (3.15pm, n.b) has twice finished second in his two chase starts and looks set to go one better in the extended 2m4f handicap chase. Gary Moore's stable has not been held up by the weather and the easy ground means First Avenue (3.45pm) has a fair chance of landing the finale.
