Dowie denies 'football war' claim

Iain Dowie today dismissed claims his team face a "football war" against Norwich on Saturday,

The Crystal Palace manager cautioned against hyping up an already tense game between two of the Premiership's strugglers.

Dowie said Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has over-exaggerated the game at Selhurst Park.

He said: "If that's Nigel's term, then that is his term. It's a football match. You have to be careful talking about wars."
