Dons facing Portsmouth test

Wimbledon will need all their battling qualities at Portsmouth tomorrow if they are to earn another away success.

Manager Stuart Murdoch was delighted with the way his side earned their first away victory of the season against Reading on Saturday when Jobi McAnuff struck two minutes into injury time.

The clash against the First Division leaders Portsmouth will also be a dress rehearsal for their Worthington Cup second round tie. For Murdoch though, McAnuff's strike demonstrated the Wimbledon spirit remains intact despite all the off the field problems over their move to Milton Keynes.

Murdoch said: "I'm really pleased with the three points. It did look as though we were going home with one at the end, but the boys kept going and showed that the spirit is still there."
