Denilson is closing in on Bolton closet space

Former Brazil international Denilson is set to complete a move to Bolton today.

The 31-year-old, who was once the world's most expensive player, has been training with the Trotters and has surprised manager Gary Megson and the coaching team with his fitness.

"He has undergone several tests and was highly praised by the staff," said Denilson's brother Denis de Oliveira Araujo.

"They said that despite not playing for a month he has the same conditions of the other players." The move to the Reebok will be finalised later today, according to Denis and he could play against Manchester United on Saturday. "Bolton board members told us that Denilson's situation has to be settled on Wednesday," he added. "I am optimistic - they gave him the key to a locker at the training centre."
