David Elsworth is cautious over Myplacelater

David Elsworth believes Myplacelater has a chance in the Weatherbys Bank Cheshire Oaks at Chester tomorrow, but warns that she may be better over further.

Myplacelater has won two of her five starts this term and last time out she was a 16-1 surprise at Newbury. Her Newmarket trainer is now hoping she will be good enough to see off six rivals in the £40,000 Listed event.

Elsworth said: "The form of her conditions race looks okay. The fifth home [Gardening Leave] came out and won on Saturday, Bullet Train, who was second, has subsequently been backed to win the Derby and Michael Bell thinks a lot of the third horse [Admission].

"So if you look at it, we go there with a winning chance, although I do feel that she is better suited to a mile and a half, rather than a mile and a quarter."

John Gosden's Gertrude Bell, who holds an Epsom Oaks entry and who won a Newbury maiden in good style last time, is a danger. But she won her maiden in a time over two seconds slower than MYPLACELATER (2.15pm) recorded when landing her race on the same card.

The Lily Agnes Conditions Stakes kicks off four races televised by Channel 4 and the Gay Kelleway-trained PRIMO LADY (1.45pm) is expected to be a lot fitter than she showed when cosily taking a Lingfield all-weather maiden on her debut. She also has the plum draw in stall one.
