England's World Cup 2015 player ratings: Joe Root impressed but Gary Ballance flopped

England crashed out of the 2015 Cricket World Cup in dramatic circumstances on Monday losing to Bangladesh by 15 runs after they were bowled out.

England were all out for 260 after Bangladesh had scored 275 for seven wickets.

Losing the match means they have failed to qualify for the quarter-finals.

England will play their last game against Afghanistan on Friday before travelling home.

But who has impressed during this World Cup and who has flopped?

An honest leader who will know that a lack of runs has undermined his captaincy.

Remains England's most elegant batsman but, if this World Cup prompts a clean out, he may have played his last one-day international.

A blistering century against Scotland but is still learning at the top of he order. Did a reliable job as England's first-choice spinner.

Was chucked in at the deep end at number three after missing the Tri-Series through injury and never got going before being dropped.

Had to wait until the Bangladesh defeat for his first competitive hit-out in two months on tour, but will surely be relied upon more after the World Cup.

England's best batsman at present. His century against Sri Lanka underlined his talent and maturity and he was the only one to resist New Zealand's onslaught.

Should have had a maiden century against Australia but for an umpiring error, but otherwise did not fully convince after being shunted down to six.

A sorely untapped talent Buttler appears to be wasted at seven. He almost rescued victory against Bangladesh when he displayed a freedom others lacked in the heat of battle.

After bowling with the new ball throughout the Tri-Series he never saw it at the World Cup and lacked penetration.

Was belatedly called up against Bangladesh and after a rusty start bowled well in the death overs.

After two wickets in as many balls against Australia he took just one more until England's exit while his batting seem to deteriorate further.

Found it hard to swing the white Kookaburra balls and without his greatest strength he was not as effective as England needed him to be.

Was pulverised by Brendon McCullum in Wellington and while he backed up impressively against Scotland he was dropped two games later.
