Cook has all the ingredients to get 33-1 Madison in frame

Madison Du Berlais represents decent each-way value in tomorrow's rearranged King George VI Chase at Kempton, which Kauto Star should win for a record fifth time.

The consistent 10-year-old, who was a distant second in the race in 2009 and who has winning form at the track in good to soft ground, is available at 33-1 for the Grade One event which features nine runners.

Kauto Star will be odds on as he bids to win the three-mile race (3pm), which was postponed on Boxing Day because of snow. The 11-year-old should emerge victorious, given that the best of his rivals is 22lb inferior on official figures.

David Pipe, who trains Madison Du Berlais, is confident that jockey Danny Cook will be an able deputy for Tom Scudamore, who will miss the ride because of a kidney problem.

He said: "It will be Danny's first ride in the race, although he is no stranger to the big occasion having ridden a Cheltenham Festival winner for us last season.

"Although yet to partner Madison in a race, Danny is familiar with the horse having ridden him plenty of times in his work at home and schooled him.
