Coleman watched Jose Mourinho's side against Arsenal, and was relieved there will be no champagne corks popping tomorrow.
He said: "The good thing is that they can't win the league on Saturday. If they were to have won it by beating us it would be hard for our supporters. "
Coleman believes that Fulham require one victory from their remaining five matches to banish any relegation fears.
Earlier this year Mourinho named Coleman as his favourite coach in English football. "He is a great leader . . . he has presence," he declared.
Fulham are without Sylvain Legwinski (thigh) and Papa Bouba Diop (hamstring), while Andy Cole (Achilles) is very doubtful.
