Following Manchester United's defeat at Portsmouth and Chelsea's goalless draw with Everton at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal could now clinch the championship at White Hart Lane provided Chelsea fail to win at Newcastle the day before.
But there is no chance that the Premiership trophy will be presented to Arsenal at Tottenham if they win the title.
Security is the main reason but the Premier League would also like the trophy to be handed over on the champion's last home game of the season provided the competition is settled. That presentation is likely to be against Leicester at Highbury on 15 May.
