Clifton have crafty Ridler to thank

Full back Robbie Ridler scored a hat-trick of tries as Clifton College reached the fourth round in their debut season by beating Newent Community School 58-8.

'He's small but deceptive,' said coach Ian Williams, ' buthe's got real speed and good positional sense.'

Prop Josh Kernan also grabbed two tries in a one-sided contest, which was stopped in the second half when Clifton reached the set limit. Clifton can expect a tougher game next time when they visit the powerful St Peter's at Gloucester, who are still smarting from losing to championsCampion in last season's quarter-finals.
