"But it was not to be, although it was great to come here and get a point, which keeps our total ticking over and does not allow Middlesbrough to get too far away from us, which could have been the case.
"With a few minutes left we may have ended up getting the three points, which would have been great for us, but I will take the point. We came and got ourselves back on track after the disaster of last week in losing to Leicester in the FA Cup. We knew we had let everybody down and we were determined to change things.
"We made it difficult for Middlesbrough in the first half and got the goal, but then in the second they really got after us and put us under enormous amounts of pressure.
"They got their goal, which I understand was offside, but then we bounced straight back and got our noses in front and I thought we were going to do it.
"But give credit to Middlesbrough-because they kept going." Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren said: "The players responded in the second half with a fantastic performance and, but for Kiely, we would have won that game as he made five or six outstanding saves."
