"When I watch the game I always see what I haven't done and what I could have done. I still feel I can give a little bit more," he said.
His manager is in agreement, though any frustration at Boa Morte's unpredictability is tempered by the 27-year-old's amiable manner.
"Boa is very important for us," said Coleman. "But sometimes I'm tearing my hair out with him because he gets into great positions and he smashes the ball into the car park rather than a nice caressed cross.
"Maybe in those positions he could produce a bit more but he's got a massive personality and he's always got a smile on his face."
Lee Clark may be sent on loan as he seeks to reestablish himself after seven months out with a calf problem.
