"He's thinking Woods or Vijay can birdie the last two holes, but there was nobody in the field who could have done that in those conditions. His tee shot was brilliant and it was very unlucky to roll into the bunker. Where he made the mistake was trying to make three [par]. If he had made four he would definitely have won The Open.
"He says it hasn't scarred him. But you would need to be a special type of bloke to lose an Open in the circumstances he did for it not to scar you."
