Bitter Ricketts ready to quit Bolton

Unsettled Michael Ricketts has indicated that he is ready to leave struggling Bolton Wanderers.

The striker's form has dipped alarmingly since he made his debut for England against Holland in February, and after falling out with Bolton manager Sam Allardyce last month, he found himself on the bench again for Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at Fulham, coming on for only the final 16 minutes.

He said: 'I believe I have enough talent to play wherever. If the club gets the right offer, maybe they will let me go, but it's not my decision. If someone comes in with £10million then maybe the club will say I can go.'

West Ham and Tottenham have been linked with the 23-year- old, who lost his place to recent signing Fredi Bobic.

'I've had a decent first season. I want to be playing and it's frustrating when you are not,' he said. ' People build you up to knock you down - and this is the time when you find out who your friends are.'
