Big Phil is told he must win silverware with 'style'

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is demanding new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari wins trophies in style this season.

Jose Mourinho captured two Premier League title, an FA Cup and two League Cups during his three years at Stamford Bridge but his team were often criticised for a lack of entertainment.

Now Abramovich, who got rid of Mourinho in September and axed his successor Avram Grant at the end of last season, has sent out a clear message that his club must shed the 'boring' tag.

Scolari today claimed Chelsea can win four competitions but admits they must do so playing attacking football if Abramovich is to be appeased.

Chief executive Peter Kenyon said: "It's important that we align with what the owner wants. When we bought Chelsea, he wanted it to be not just a successful football club but for it to be a force for good. We want to be a team that wins things in style.

"If you look at a Madrid, a Milan, a Barcelona, you look at a Manchester United, they've all been successful but they're all teams with an identity and known for their style. That's what we want to achieve."
