"We've got to be stronger, but there is a difference between being strong and being over-thetop and dangerous.
"I always say there is a part of the Crazy Gang at every club. It might be two or three individuals. The difference at Wimbledon was that we had 11 or 12 of those individuals."
After the bat t le of the Hawthorns, Coleman initially appeared to condone Fulham's physical approach by backing his players and insisting that Cole and Diop would not be fined over their dismissals.
He was later overruled by the club's directors, though Beasant feels the Welshman's stance was misunderstood.
He said: "Chris was not talking so much about the incidents. We were down to nine men and we worked extremely hard for each other to come out with a result.
"It was important that we stopped the rot after three defeats and I think that's what he was talking about - how pleased he was that everyone rallied round to get a point. Now hopefully we can build on that and start putting a run together."
While Cole and Diop are suspendedfor tomorrow's home game against Southampton, Fulham will be boosted by the return of Steed Malbranque after a serious groin injury.
The Frenchman scored in the 4-1 Carling Cup victory over Boston on Wednesday, which was his first appearance of the season.
Beasant added: "We have missed Steed. He was very important to us last season, especially given the system we played with him and Luis Boa Morte supporting the main striker."`
Even without Cole, Coleman still has plenty of competition for places in attack. As well as Malbranque, Tomasz Radzinski scored twice against Boston, while Brian McBride was also on target.
The Fulham manager is also hoping to complete the signing of French forward Youri Djorkaeff, though he is unlikely to feature against Southampton.
