Bayern Munich will be no pushovers, insists Carles Puyol

Carles Puyol has dismissed suggestions Barcelona's Treble bid will catch up with them in tonight's Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich.

Barca are well on their way to completing a domestic league and cup double - but a congested fixture could start to catch up on them.

The first-leg clash at the Nou Camp will provide the latest test of whether the Catalan side can last the course, with the winners set to face Liverpool or Chelsea in the final four of the competition.

Barca skipper Puyol said: "We're confident in Barca, we're expecting to get a good result and get through to the next round."

But the Spain international denies his side are cast-iron favourites to progress against a Bayern side still smarting from the weekend 5-1 humiliation against Wolfsburg.

He added: "We respect them a lot. You have to remember that at this level everyone is good."
