"I am injury-free and there's no reason I can't play every game between now and the end of the season. My team-mates have been outstanding while I was injured, so it would be nice to score a few goals to thank them."
Charlton manager Alan Curbishley's first win at Liverpool as either a player or manager has thrown the Champions League picture upsidedown.
Having been written off following a run of just seven points in nine matches, Charlton are suddenly seventh and within a win of Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa.
With Paolo Di Canio missing the trip north with illness, Charlton's spirit was epitomised by 34-yearold Chris Powell, who lasted two matches in three days having previously not started since October.
Powell was so effective that his opponent, £10million winger El Hadji Diouf, was substituted early in the second-half. And the Charlton defender revealed afterwards he is set to agree a new deal to keep him at The Valley for another year.
"The boss mentioned he would like me to stay and I am delighted. I expect things to be sorted out very soon," said Powell, who signed a one-year contract last summer.
